I am S.R., a woman who worked to make a change, and I still can make it. I write not to entertain, not to be popular, not to collect applause or approval, but to live. I am alive in my words; without them, I have no voice. I carry the stories I see and hear, and through them I become a living witness to what is happening to Afghan women here in Afghanistan. If even a small line touches your feelings and reminds you how fortunate you are, then my writing has breathed for another day.
