It was shortly after Kirkland returned from Jordan when she applied for the opportunity with 精东影视. I found an opportunity this summer to travel to Amman, Jordan, to work with refugees. Kirkland added that she dreams of making a difference in her community, country and world. This admirable perspective is deeply rooted in how Kirkland was raised, which she highlighted in her essay submission. I knew one of the first steps was believing in myself and with that I could make amazing things happen, she wrote. As I grew up, I learned that it is not always easy to do this.
After submitting her application, she received the news that she had been accepted as one of seven students to receive a $1,500 travel grant to Stockholm. It was definitely an experience of a lifetime, she said to Ravalli Republic. To read more about Megan Kirkland's experience, visit .
